Spotless Hackathon Key Focus Areas in detail

The following information gives you more insight into the focus areas and the challenges being presented. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Spotless will be presenting these challenges in detail at our Launch event on 17 Nov where you’ll be able to ask specific questions and again at the Hackathon launch.

 

Catering and Food Services

Spotless feeds 186,000 people a day - more than 68 million meals a year.  

Spotless provides healthy and delicious food to the many and varied customers of our clients whether they be employees, patients, corporate clients, school children, the elderly, university students or wedding guests.  Spotless' retail footprint expands across hospitals, schools, corporate offices, stadia and airports, which includes the operation of well-known franchises such as Red Rooster, Boost Juice, Sushi Sushi and Sumo Salad.

  • How can we leverage data and technology to provide a highly customised, efficient and seamless experience for customers at our retail outlets? 
  • How can we enhance the customer’s experience by increasing the speed of service and staff productivity? 
  • How do we maximise food and beverage sales across a match up until ¾ time and better service fans throughout the day? 

 

Maintenance

Spotless takes care of assets across all stages of their lifecycle. Their approach to asset management aims to reduce facilities maintenance costs and increase reliability for clients. Spotless' services offering encompasses mechanical, electrical, energy, fire, hydraulics, plumbing, refrigeration, construction, building controls and electronic security. These services are provided across a wide variety of clients including universities, mining camps, hospitals, corrections facilities and government properties.

  • How can we have more interaction with our assets to provide a better service for clients? How can we gather data on assets, process this data and use this data to interact with assets? 
  • How can we use smart tech to act as a ‘second pair of hands’ without having to send a second person to site? 
  • How can we use IoT/Data Tech to better plan a refurbishment (or new build) for our clients? 
  • How can we cost effectively and reliably leverage IoT to predict/prevent mechanical failure in the HVAC&R space, to reduce downtime for customers? 
  • How can we use this technology to assist in the maintenance of HVAC&R assets? 

Cleaning 

Spotless provides cleaning maintenance programs tailored to suit the needs of customers. From a foundation clean to a new facility to regular daily cleaning programs, services are scaled to suit the situation. With hundreds of clients across various sectors, clients range from local, state and federal government to Australia and New Zealand's leading companies. Spotless' teams clean over 5,000 sites including airports, city streets, shopping centres, stadiums, special events, hospitals and schools.

  • How can we use smart technology to provide a more efficient cleaning service for our customers? 
  • How can we better protect against spill hazards in public spaces, to provide a safer environment for our customers? 

Security 

Spotless' security teams operate at over 180 sites across the country including metropolitan, regional and remote locations. Their comprehensive service offerings are delivered to a diverse customer base including shopping centres, sports stadiums and events, port facilities and border protection, major airports, hospitals and other major events throughout Australia.
